The short version

Hook Agency (hookagency.com) is a Minneapolis agency for home-service companies: roofing, HVAC, plumbing and more. It sells SEO, Google Maps SEO, AI search work, Google Ads, Local Services Ads, Meta ads and websites. It aims at shops over $1 million in revenue. We work only with HVAC companies, mostly owner-run shops, and run ads as an optional add-on.

Everything about Hook Agency on this page is as published on their site, Oct 2026. Their full Terms of Service sit in an embedded page we couldn't read, so check the contract itself before you sign.

Hook's Silver bundle, shown for $1M to $2M businesses, lists a standard website, Google Ads management, lead tracking and monthly reporting. Our plan details are on our plans page.

12-month cost, with the math

Same method for both: monthly price times 12, plus any build cost. Hook's website price is already spread over 12 months, so we add the full amount. Ad spend isn't included for Hook; their site states no minimum.

OptionMath12-month total
HVAC Marketing HQ Starter$499 x 12 + $1,995$7,983
HVAC Marketing HQ Growth$799 x 12 + $2,495$12,083
Hook standard website + local SEO$12,000 + $2,800 x 12$45,600
Hook Silver bundle (site + Google Ads management), before ad spend$3,500 x 12$42,000

These aren't the same products. Hook's prices bundle ads management, which we sell as a separate add-on. The point is the size of the commitment: Hook is built for bigger budgets.

Contracts and ownership

Hook is clear and generous on ownership. Its pricing page says "You own your website 100%" and that you own your ad account, with your own card paying for the spend. Its Meta ads page says you own your raw footage and ad creative.

On contract length, their pages say different things, as published in Oct 2026. The home page FAQ explains "a yearly commitment". Their main SEO page says SEO contracts start at 12 months, then go month to month. Their HVAC SEO page says "We have month to month contracts." Their website is paid over 12 months. Ask which applies to you, and get it in writing.

Where they're strong

  • Track record. Published case studies across several trades.
  • Ad creative. Photo and video shoots on their Meta ads plan.
  • Plain ownership terms. Website, ad accounts and creative are yours, in writing on their pricing page.

Questions to ask on their sales call

  1. Is my contract 12 months or month to month? Their pages say both. Get the term for each service in writing.
  2. If I cancel before month 12, what do I owe on the website? The website is paid over 12 months, so ask about the balance.
  3. Do I own the website from day one, or after the last payment?
  4. How many HVAC clients does my account team work with? Ask for HVAC case studies near your size.
  5. What's the all-in monthly cost? Services, website payment and ad spend, added up.
  6. What happens after the free audit or intro call? Ask what's in the proposal and how long it's valid.
